The Unique collaboration of a husband and wife team

This season, the husband and wife team of Jonathan Zuraw and Christina DiNatale are taking the reins at Velvet.  

As Executive Chef, Jonathan is bringing experience and artistry to the kitchen. He has trained in the art of French cooking and has previously been the executive chef at both Northampton's old Green Street Cafe, and at Once Upon a Table in Stockbridge.  Jonathan was also the chef and founder of Wild Thymes in Chester. Long-time Hilltown residents will be excited to know that Jon has worked extensively with renowned chef and Worthington Golf Club alumni Michaelangelo.

Jonathan is committed to using fresh, seasonal, and local food to construct his delicious meals. Whether it's pre-dinner rolls, pasta, or desserts, you can expect everything on your plate to be handmade in-house.

Jonathan's talent has resulted in the best grass fed burger around, and his  veggie burger is hard to beat. His desserts are fantastic, and the menu choices are always thrilling. 

As Velvet's front-of-house manager, Christina fosters and maintains an ambiance in the dining room as well as a relaxed atmosphere overall. Christina has extensive knowledge of wines and has compiled many great bottles for our wine list. Christina is also our mixologist, and she crafts subtle and balanced cocktails.

 I challenge anyone to name an organic restaurant in the area that does dinner as well as we do.

We have patrons that are in for dinner, a drink, an after meal dessert almost every day we are open.  That's saying something!



Velvet boasts a seasonal menu of delicious appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Expect everything on your plate to be handmade by the chef.  In order to shake things up, we also have biweekly specials. The specials menu has a prix fixe option, which includes a small plate, large plate, and a dessert for only $35. 

When it comes to barfood, some restaurants cut corners. At Velvet, We're proud to make bar room classics of extremely high quality. Our burger is made with local, grassfed beef and the fries are hand-cut. The Fish & Chips,Chicken tenders, and Chicken Wings are hand-cut and breaded/battered in house.

We have a fully stocked bar with top-shelf Bourbons and single malts Scotches.  On tap, there are local beers from microbreweries such as Sena Brewery of Worthington, as well as Berkshire Brewing Company of South Deerfield.  As wine lovers, we have sourced a pretty unique wine selection too. We have partnered with our vendors to source amazing bottles at great prices.
